Breastfeeding Support
Breastfeeding / Combi feeding / Expressing / Bottle Feeding
Every feeding journey is beautiful, from a few hours to a few years, I will support your individual needs.
I have been a breastfeeding peer supporter for over 7 years, since my daughter was just 9 months old. I have personally fed my baby's for over 3 years each, having struggled with latch and attachment, over supply, weaning, biting and much more I wanted to pay the support I revied forward.

I first trained within the NHS though the UNICEF - Baby Friendly Initiative. After supporting family's at my local children's centre I felt I wanted to know more so I enrolled in Association of Breastfeeding mother peer support programme qualifying in Jan 2022.
I was then keen to further my own knowledge therefore I enrolled in their breastfeeding councillor course which has seen me complete extended training over the last two years. I am now active on the National Breastfeeding Helpline when I can fit it around my family.

It might be the most natural, beautiful journey in the world, but that does not make easy, does not make effortless. Breastfeeding can feel difficult because it is a learned skill for both parent and baby, where we have to ask for support, keep trying and persevere.
Some common challenges can include improper latch, sore nipples, milk supply concerns, and exhaustion. However, significant support from peer supporter groups, doulas, health care professionals and lactation consultants can help overcome these hurdles, making breastfeeding easier with practice and confidence.

I help run the Penrith Breastfeeding group based at the children's centre every Tuesday 1:00-2:30pm.
I also offer phone and WhatsApp support, and 1-1 session at my own home, or yours.
Don't hesitate to get in touch ANYTIME to get the support you deserve.
